Industrial gases are a group of chemical and gaseous compounds that are mass-produced and used in various industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, chemical and pharmaceutical power plants, and steel and nuclear industries.
Some of these gases, such as oxygen and nitrogen, are abundant in breathing air, and as a result, they are produced through separation from air.
Another part of these gases is obtained from natural gas or gas outputs of oil wells, and some others are produced by processing in special units.
Some important industrial gases:
Argon Ar
Krypton Kr
Oxygen O2
Neon Ne
Nitrogen N2
Helium He
Radon Rn
Fluorine Fe
Xenon Xe
Chlorine Cl 2
Hydrogen H2
